Ann Pate

For Ann Pate, designing is innate. Even as a child, her creativity found its outlet in design, constantly arranging and rearranging her small bedroom. Her grandmother was a great seamstress and her father was very talented at creating custom draperies and reupholstering furniture. She opened Sugar Bakers Home Fashions over 30 years ago because she wanted to use her creative talents to help others create beautiful spaces. She is an expert seamstress, and one of very few in the Tri-state with the ability to create custom draperies. Ann finds her proudest projects are those where she can really feel like the work she and the customer have created is something that will impact their lives in a positive way for years to come.

Servane Dicus

Servane Dicus came to Sugar Bakers in 2008. Originally from France, Servane brings a unique appreciation for and background in architecture into every design project. Her travels growing up have given her great perspective, from the way the Louvre Museum so effectively combines the contemporary and the traditional to the majesty and intricate details of ancient cathedrals. Servane is an amazing artist and loves using her talents to help her clients visualize and realize their dreams. This has included designing custom furniture pieces and conceptualizing tile work and built-in pieces for contractors.

Jodie Murtha

Jodie Murtha graduated with honors from Ivy Tech Community in 1998. After interning and working in corporate design, she fell in love with residential design and brought her talents to Sugar Bakers Home Fashions in 2006. Jodie loves being creative and discovering more about people and their lives, and her career as a designer gives her a creative and meaningful outlet. She particularly loves sharing in the design process with her clients, especially when the intimate relationship she develops with them builds a trust that allows her to create a space both beyond and within their unique dreams.
